AFC Hucknall 0-2 Thorne Colliery

Wednesday 6th April 2011 -- CML Premier Division

Was supposed to be giving this a miss and staying in to watch Barcelona, but the nice weather made me change my mind.  Managed to drag Kev along - and he was ok about getting some fresh air, but taking in this game was not my best decison of the season!!  We saw Thorne the other week at South Normanton and were quite impressed, not so impressed with this performance though!. AFC were very ordinary the last time we saw them play Welbeck, and it has to be said they were ordinary again against Thorne.

Shake!

Thorne took the lead 5 minutes in, Nathan Atkinson's cross from the left beat all the home defenders and fell to the feet of SCOTT RHODES who simply steered the ball home.  H-T 0-1

Had a wander around the Watnall Road ground at half-time - seemed a bit strange being there with no other people about. We struggled to get the head count over 20!

Thorne scored again on 69, a breakaway which ended with AIDEN MARSHALL racing at the AFC goal and shooting from 20 yards - keeper Jack Harvey could have maybe made a better fist of blocking the effort, but the ball flew off his hands and nestled in the back of the net.  Not much more to say about this game - sorry! F-T 0-2
