Revised list of friendlies...

As mentioned in my previous post, there are changes-a-plenty to the "On The Road" pre-season schedule!!! Never mind, eh?? 10th July is the scheduled start to the pre-season mish-mash !!
The Arnold Tn v Notts C***ty games has been moved to the end of July, so at the moment our choices for the 1st game are slightly limited. Shall we pay £12 (!) to see the mighty Stags entertain Sheffield United, or a few quid less to see Ilkeston take on Burton Albion (3:00pm). Sutton Tn AFC are at home to FCUM, but we have three scheduled trips to the Fieldings planned already. Watch this space, as they say!
Monday 12th July sees a Stags XI visit Blidworth Welfare, according to the MTFC website the team will be a mixture of first team and youth team players (7:45pm). The following day we look to be heading out to Teversal as they welcome Dinnington Town to the Grange (7:45pm).
Friday 16th Heanor Town visit Pinxton (7:45pm). Saturday 17th sees the first of the three planned pre-season visits to the Fieldings as the Snipes entertain Worksop Town (3:00 pm). Monday 19th - another Monday in Blidworth to see them take on near neighbours Rainworth MW (7:45pm), then I'll probably get around to handing Roger Rann some cash for the books he supplied at the end of last season as we plan a visit to Eagle Valley on Tuesday 20th to see Arnold Town v Gedling Town (7:45pm).
Thursday 22nd - Kimberley Town are at home to Maltby Main (7:45pm) and Saturday 24th we stay very local - Basford United v Blidworth Welfare (3:00pm).
Tuesday 27th sees us visit the Fieldings again as the Snipes take on Matlock Town (7:45pm) while Calverton v Cheaterfield XI is on the cards for Wednesday 28th ( 7:00pm).
Saturday 31st - our first chance to see Tommy Brookbanks' new Hucknall Town team take on Eastwood Town (3:00pm). The following Monday (2nd August) should see our second visit as Hucknall play Mansfield Town ( 7:30pm).
Tuesday 3rd August we make the short trip to Calverton - they are due to play Radford FC at 7:30pm, then Wednesday 4th sees us make another visit to Blidworth - Louth Town the visitors (7:45pm). Sutton Town AFC v Rainworth follows on the 5th (7:30pm).
Quite a comprehensive list, but in all probability we will not take in all of them.

Pre-season games by the shed-load!!

The traditional start to any football season is marked with a succession of "friendly" games.  Last term we took in 14 pre-season games and I have so far pencilled in a dozen or so for the coming season - without even trying!

Starting on Saturday July 10th at the Eagle Valley, where Arnold Town are to entertain a Notts County XI.  That will give me a chance to pay Roger Rann for his books!! We will then make visits to Blidworth, Teversal, Hucknall Town, Calverton MW, Shirebrook, Rainworth, Kimberley, Sutton and Forest Town.

All subject to change of course!!!!! The list on the right will no doubt change as more and more friendly games are arranged.
